    This could really be useful for solo paddlers who want to record video segments of themselves paddling (and many other applications).

    I believe that canoeist Bill Mason often set up a "trip wire" system to start his camera rolling as he paddled past. While Bill Mason got good results, he couldn't get the camera to follow or zoom in on him.

    For the type of device that it is, and if it works as well as the videos show, it seems to be quite reasonably priced.

    Lots out there, each claiming to be the first. Can't wait 'til they come down in price so I can get some cool kayak sailing shots..
