WHERE DID YOU PADDLE? October 07

Last weekend, Mick, Mark, Blondie, my daughter, and her friend went camping at Portland Island for three days (of mostly wet, windy conditions). WetElvis joined up with us on Sunday for the day.

Dan, Mick, did you witness Blondie's amazing Inukshuk building skill??

no, we didn't witness that particular behaviour.

you can understand this as she is still alive and in one piece.

but thanks for the information - we will be monitoring . . .

Candikayak and I went for a full moon night paddle last night on Okanagan Lake....it was cool! On the way back we were paddling quite close to shore and thought someone threw a large rock at us! - it was a beaver and he kept ahead of us, slapping his tail one more time and escorting us to our landing at the cars!

I, like Kasey took advantage of a full moon paddle on Thursday night.
I put-in at White Rocks Firminger boat launch and headed south towards Blaine Harbor. This is my first time paddling this route and I found it to be interesting, with numerous smells in the air ( fish & chips, car fumes, fine dining) and the trees along the strip all lite up in blue lights made for an interesting time. One thing about paddling this route is you really need to watch the tide as you only get full high tide for just over an hour then it quickly drains out of Semiahmoo Bay.
